A couple of notable Chiringuitos are La Sal & Bahia Beach both located on Casares beach. In Sabinillas Almijara (Pepe’s) has entertainment during the summer months. Amaka Beach has a special ambiance playing modern chilled out music. Ramos is typically Spanish cuisine with fresh fish caught daily. Close to Puerto de la Duquesa you will find Andres y Maria Chiringuito & again popular with the expat community Cubanga.
Restaurants Puerto de la Duquesa
You’ll find a wide variety of cuisines in Puerto de la Duquesa, including Italian, Indian, Chinese, Moroccan and British. Two popular Italian restaurants are Il Capitanio & Sabor Toscano both established in the port for many years. We have 3 Indian restaurants Chilli’s, Shazna & on the other side of the road located in the Eroski centre on Los Hidalgos urbanization is Mini India. La Bodega is Moroccan fusion with a great atmosphere and entertainment at weekends. There are a few steak houses located in the Puerto de la Duquesa namely Victor Grill, El Gaucho & El Estribo on Hacienda Guadalupe. There are many more restaurants an tapas bars to visit in the port Kinaree Thai/Chinese restaurant. Kinsale Irish bar offers a wide variety of food including traditional Irish breakfast and Sunday lunch. Its also worth a visit at weekends for one of, if not the best Karaoke’s worldwide (a bit of a statement I know) it’s so successful that the current host has been presenting there for the past 18 years and still packing the place out!

Sabinillas & Manilva tend to be more traditional Spanish Tapas bars & Restaurants. For a memorable dining experience with a view, head to the restaurants along the beautiful paseo overlooking the Blue flag beach in Sabinillas and out to the Mediterranean sea. Susi’s bistro’s on the beach front is outstanding quality and service, so much so you need to book your table in advance most days. La Casita a favourite with the locals & Spanish. Budda Nepalese restaurant Sabinillas for a taste of the oriental. Good old traditional Spanish restaurants like Marymar & Meson el Rocio present the most beautiful freshly caught fish traditionally barbecued on the beach. Manilva village itself host many tapas bars and is wonderful for bar hopping and eating and very cheap!
Restaurants Casares
Casares has to be one of the most picturesque villages in the whole of Spain. To capture the full ambiance you must visit Sarmiento just on the outskirts of the village particularly the sunsets. The food is traditional Spanish Cuisine and fantastic. The Forge is located on a quite dirt track and nestles in the Casares countryside and is relaxation personified. The food is fabulous. La Choza is on the Casares coast, traditionally Spanish and loved by all, fabulous ambiance. Venta Garcia is another restaurant loved by all but particularly the expat community.
